Edge of the Wood is a place to find motivation in life.

A place to feel purpose. A place for friends. A connection point.

At Edge of the Wood, we make climbing holds out of natural wood and stone. We are also a community. We want people to have a safe space to meet other people who want to create, come together and inspire each other to make a positive impact in our own unique ways.

People are complex and magical beings with many needs:

• Physiological—food, water, shelter

• Safety and Security—health, employment

• Love and Belonging—friendship, sense of connection

• Self-Esteem—confidence, achievement, respect of others

• Self-Actualization—morality, creativity, meaning

Doing good for ourselves is a must, but so is doing good for our communities and our planet.

Wood and stone are both a more sustainable option than the most widely used materials for climbing holds, which is polyester resin/polyurethane based plastics. Plastic holds generate micro-plastics and are not easy to recycle. Also they contain additives and can produce hazardous byproducts.

Wood and stone climbing holds provide a more pleasant and eco-friendly climbing experience than plastic. Wood is a great material to use for training because it is skin-friendly. Stone is better for a “real rock” experience.
